David joined Hawkes Architecture in 2020 and qualified as an architect in 2022. He is enthusiastic about creating architecture that responds to the rural sensibilities of a site whilst making spaces that are a joy to inhabit . David also loves making music, 35mm film photography, and exploring the UK on two and four wheels. He has lectured in architectural photography at the University of Kent and his images have appeared in publications including the RIBA Journal, Grand Designs Magazine and the Telegraph.
