A Contemporary Extension
Set within a rural landscape, this ongoing project proposes a contemporary extension to a traditional Oast house. The design responds sensitively to the distinctive circular form and historic character of the existing structure, introducing a modern addition that enhances functionality while preserving identity. Carefully considered proportions, materials and detailing ensure the extension complements the original fabric. Currently on the drawing board, the proposal aims to bring new life to the building, offering a respectful yet forward-thinking interpretation of rural vernacular architecture.
