Brasted

On our drawing board: transforming equestrian and kennel facilities in the Metropolitan Green Belt and High Weald National Landscape into a bespoke home and vibrant community-focused hub.

Living, Working, Creating in the Landscape

This ambitious redevelopment transforms a former equestrian centre and dog kennels—set within the Metropolitan Green Belt and High Weald National Landscape—into a dynamic and sustainable new community scheme. At its heart is a contemporary Paragraph 84 family home, designed to meet the highest environmental standards. this is accompanied by a connected creative hub and live/work dwellings. The scheme champions low-impact living, creative enterprise, and meaningful interaction with the surrounding rural landscape. Rooted in the site’s agricultural past, the vision is one of renewal, creating a place where people can live, work, and thrive in harmony with nature.

A Unified Scheme

The scheme is divided into three interconnected functions, represented in the accompanying Venn diagram: Live, Work, and Connect. These elements are designed to overlap—supporting a way of life that blends home, work, and community. Each part offers its own character and purpose, while collectively forming a cohesive and sustainable place to live creatively, work meaningfully, and engage with the wider landscape and people.
