Exciting New Projects

The team at Hawkes Architecture have worked tremendously hard since Covid-19 disrupted every aspect of our lives. We’ve just refreshed the website content to reveal some of the exceptional Paragraph 80 (Para 80) projects we’ve been working on these past few months. Last month we celebrated our 19th Para 79 consent with Scots Pines in rural Derbyshire.

“Mossie” is an exciting new Para 80 project which celebrates the pioneering design of the iconic timber framed de Havilland Mosquito aircraft.

Lilley Brook, North Yorkshire, The Chalk Pit and Redbrook Paragraph 80 projects are continuing to develop & refine into extraordinarily elegant resolutions of complex sites & contexts.

Our Ashdown Forest AONB Paragraph 80 scheme has been granted Resolution to Approve pending finalising a S106 agreement for restoration works to the former Repton landscape within which it sits.

Following extensive engagement with various stakeholders & design review panels our Valley View, Water Lane, Foxbury Lane, Bergbyr & Benenden Barn projects are also live in the planning system & pending decision imminently.

Other Paragraph 80 (Para 80) projects heading towards submission include Calvert Gardens, House in the Woods, Rural Faversham, The Linhay among a multitude of other amazing sites & emerging projects that we’ll be able to reveal more of in due course.

Since lockdown we also celebrated achieving consent for Orchard Barn and we’ve also started work on site at The Lake House (AONB Para 79) and Winchester.

Lots of other new instructions this year has meant we’ve had to reconfigure the studio and crane in some additional space in order to be able to work and meet safely for those times we’re unable to function fully from home. We’ve also had to recruit 3 new team members which brings its own unique challenge during these ever changing working dynamics. In many ways it’s not the 2020 we had in mind! But we feel incredibly blessed to be able to continue doing what we love and we’re born to do and we will continue to passionately pursue the perplexing pleasure that is Paragraph 80. Onwards & Upwards!
