This proposed barn conversion sought to maximise internal space by insulating the building externally to passive house standard while also maintaining the barn's existing agricultural character.
A series of simple internal interventions transformed the barn into a modern well equipped 3 bedroom home. A large component of the interior design incorporated fitted perimeter furniture which changed in function along its length from being a chaise & heat store storage device in the lounge to being a desk in the study, to kitchen units and ending as a dining table.
