Northampton  Para 55

An exciting 350m² development for a Para 55 house which is set in a glade of self-seeded ash and hawthorn.

The proposals draw on the formation of low walls on the site from its military past. Internal and external spaces are organised by the low walls that conceal and protect as well as revealing and framing views.

Atop the low walls nestle shingle hideouts which have small openings to provide secluded views to the woodland canopy. The roof is pitched for optimum solar gain to the east and west with PV-T panels that will increase energy production in the early morning and late evening when energy demand is at its highest.
