North Somerset  Para 55

We are working on a Para 55 design for an exceptional new 10,000²ft dwelling on a sloping site with distant views across the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Generations of dairy farming has created distinctive landscape characteristics, patterns and terraces where the cattle graze on the sloping ground.

The design of this building is inspired by the striking landscape, a series of terraces and low stone walls which rise and fall to form external and internal spaces.

The contemporary first floor elements seek to enjoy the long distance views out and beyond the site, their form and materials relating to the nearby agricultural barns that house the cattle that graze around the site.
