Monks

At Monks we designed a spacious new extension and remodelled the rest of the existing building to give the property a uniform look and feel.

Part of our planning strategy involved making the building more energy efficient, by introducing a large solar array and a wood-burning stove with integrated back boiler, that was linked to a large thermal store.

Using air-tight building techniques and by installing an MVHR unit we were able to greatly improve the structures thermal performance, which intern will greatly reduce the heat load needed at the property throughout the long winter months.
