Lake House Para 55

An elegant and relatively modest Paragraph 55 dwelling, Lake House is set within 40 acres of the High Weald AONB adjacent to former fishing lakes and a derelict railway line.

The design narrative draws upon simple forms that relate to the historic former railway and further guest accommodation is provided in the form of three "carriages" nestled within the trees, each providing essential accommodation for extended family to use.

The material palette for the new dwelling draws upon the strong heritage of brick and clay, linking to the woodland character that borders the site. In both cases these materials are expressed in a unique and contemporary way.
