Halfpenny House  Para 55

Recently completed, this Para 55 house sits within an agricultural farmyard and an established hierarchy of existing structures.

The design concept for the building was to resemble an agricultural barn and to respect the existing hierarchy. Squires Young Landscape Architects provided a comprehensive landscape strategy and masterplan as part of the proposals.

Integral to the design are the flood prevention measures, a sustainable drainage strategy and biodiversity enhancements.

As part of the site falls within the 1 in 100 year flood area the landscape design includes a number of ponds that will form part of an integrated drainage system whilst enhancing biodiversity.
