Fairford  Eco Lakes

An eco-development of 140 properties set around 3 lakes in the Cotswolds. The development includes six ‘Code 6’ passive house standard dwellings.

We created a suite of house types, depending on their position on the site, designed using the principles of Passive Solar Design. The appearance and architectural features of the different house types depend on the location and solar orientation.

The apartments around Milestone Lake respond to the changing lake side conditions as well as solar orientation. A Leisure centre marks the entrance to the development and offers a great opportunity for a renewable energy hub to help support the whole site.

The project is underpinned by sustainable environmental design principles as well as being designed to embrace the principles of Feng Shui.
